Happy Thanksgiving!

Last year on Thanksgiving, most of my family were in town. We shopped, cooked, ate, played and worried about my poor Dad. He had injured his back in a pile of leaves two days before Thanksgiving. It was a time of mixed emotions for everyone. Nevertheless, blessings abounded and still do. Today, he’s better than ever.

This year, I’ll be with Alan’s family. We’ll play football in the field (the kids will be filthy!), eat incredible food (Karen is a caterer!) and laugh a lot (that’s how they roll!).

Happy Thanksgiving!

Here’s where we’ll be. I took this on Thanksgiving ’07 as the football players made their way back to the house for dinner!

Adelaide

I met baby Adelaide, perfect little addition to the family. As beautiful as the baby herself was the comfort she took in her Mama’s voice. How precious to see that they’re already so close!

I would love to have had more time to shoot her with good light, but I did get some cute expressions.

Rest

Happy Sunday tomorrow! Mine will be — especially if I can manage a pleasant drive to drink in what’s left of the leaves. It’s been a busy week!

I took these images for my former church to use in their bulletin.
