The Mikado at PBU

For many months I’ve been working with Philadelphia Biblical University to help build their photo library. The first assignment I shot was their spring musical, The Mikado. I recently ran across the images and remembered what a fun time I had! The cast was endearing and the performance very well done.

I was able to shoot for a bit while the cast got ready. I chose images that suggest it was serene. Not so!

Holiday Season in Full Swing

It IS beginning to look a lot like Christmas. And I still have a million things on my to-do before you ruin Christmas list. I am not complaining — it’s for a very good cause! I just cannot wait to rest and celebrate with my family. Love the holidays.

A cozy view of one of my favorite spots in town.

Karlina and Coltan

More family fun! It’s that time of year. I was privileged to spend a couple of hours with Coltan, Karlina and their wonderful parents last week.

Isn’t she precious? You may remember this post of beautiful Karlina when she was 1 week old.

Here’s Coltan. What a BOY, always moving and watching, kicking tires — which is all the more adorable because he’s such a big-hearted little guy.

We tried a few times to make the Santa hat work. The kids weren’t having much of it. I loved these two shots but didn’t catch any red in the hat. Alaska is near the North Pole, right?

Impromptu Break

Sophia and I (and Strawberry Shortcake) were headed to Starbucks to read some girl books. I called my sister. She was in.

So, Teri and her two daughters met us there. We squished around one little table with our delicious drinks. We played the Project Runway game, read Angelina Ballerina, and chatted as if we didn’t talk every day. It was so nice to take a little breather from the holiday busyness.

Two things I confirmed: 1) I have no future in designing whimsical sportswear. That game was a little demoralizing! 2) The 3-pump-grande-Caramel Brulee Latte is the way to go.
